Optimizing apps

Every time I restart my phone for whatever reason I get a green screen at boot up that says android is starting (something like that) and on the bottom it says optimizing 3 of 3 apps (sometimes it optimizes more) I've never seen this before. Anyone know what this is?

I can't answer your question but have one in return...who is your provider? I am w Verizon and I see that, and I also get the knocked over Android dude (presumably because Verizon has Samsung monkey their software up).

I have verizon also. I wonder if this happens when an application is installed, then at next restart this happens. Maybe optimizing the new apps??

Oh then it's optimizing to gimp things (said tongue in cheek...but now that I typed it out I think I'm onto something)...

I was just wondering the same. It doesn't take long but it always says that
