Tempered glass (if it's good) has the same hardness as Gorilla Glass, so it's not going to be more scratch resistant. The only difference is that when you drop the phone and the glass breaks, Gorilla Glass breaks in shards, tempered glass crumbles (tiny pieces - "tempered" is what safety glass is).

If you don't break the glass, there's no advantage to a tempered glass shield, except a slightly less sensitive screen. (Sorry, but they don't make transparent steel yet.)

Can someone please recommend a food tempered Glass screen protector for this phone. It's driving me crazy. Please

Well, there aren't any good ones unfortunately. After trying just about all of them, they all have sensitivity issues or adhesion issues. I have ended up settling on the Yootech film protector. It fits great and feels not bad for a film protector. It's also remarkably durable for it's type...
