I've used Clean Master on all of my Android phones so far. However, I noticed that the S7 Edge has an in-built Smart Manager, which essentially does the same job. So, do you think Clean Master is necessary or Smart Manager will be enough for keeping the phone fresh?

I have never used anything like clean master on any of my android phones so in my opinion you don't need it. If you want that sort of functionality then yes, use the feature built in.

No. You should never use anything made by Cheetah Mobile. Plus stuff like clean master and other booster apps are just selling you snake oil.

In Smart Manager under Storage, it says "Powered by Clean Master". I would assume having the Clean Master app would be redundant.

You dont need clean master or any of those cleaning apps. All they do is use battery. All you need to do is go into settings, hit storage, wait for it to load, then hit cache and clear it. Takes acfew seconds.

Someone actually interviewed the developer and asked him a lot of questions about it, since he couldn't find that it actually did anything.

It's not buggy. It's basically malware.

I've never used any optimizers, junk file cleaners, speed boosters, battery savers, etc. I don't think they are necessary.

I think we need a clean tool for our phones. Maybe clean master or something else. I have used an app named Space Cleaner for a long time.I think it is useful and fast.It helps me to clean lots of junks. You can have a try~
