What are the two black blobs above the notification pane?

Help, i only got my S7 edge yesterday and I've spent hours trying to figure out what the two blobs are. Can anyone help?

I can't seem to capture a photo of them, just are just under the front camera on the screen.

Well I'm not exactly sure what you are talking about. Are they on the screen? Could they be air bubbles? Have you removed the plastic covering on the screen?

Are you sure they are under the front under the camera? Do you have a screen protector? If you do, I think they are bubbles or dirt.

I do not have anything under the front camera to the display screen.

I don't currently have a screen protector on my screen and it is definitely part of the screen. almost looks like a menu you can pull down that is on the screen directly below the camera.

I'm unable to take a screenshot of it so I've drawn what they look like on my screen. Of course they are a lot tidier looking than mine are.

That's a dodgy screen. I had it myself (bottom left corner) when I first got mine and they repaired it for me under warranty.

Looks like some sort of pull-down tab. If you rotate the screen into landscape mode, does the blob pair rotate along with the rest of the screen?

Good news everyone, the store I purchased the phone from replaced it. They said they had never seen this happen with Samsung phones and were surprised this issue had been raised by other users online. Thanks for all your advice, it was very much appreciated. :D
