nougat update uk?

Got a sim free s7 Edge from currys pc world for christmas.

Its still not updated to the nougat and wondering if anyone else has not also on a sim free phone?

HI, I'm in the same boat. I don't think anyone who has XEU in the uk has Nougat unless they were on the Beta program.

From reading bits and pieces and the lack of new releases I think Samsung has put the release on hold.

I've had my update for a few weeks now. I'm on EE but think my phone is unbranded (not sure how to tell though.

You can download an app called "Phone Info *Samsung*" which gives you a wealth of info about your phone including the CSC code for the phone.

Purchased my Sim Free Unbranded s7 edge from a Samsung Experience Store.

I didn't know at the time it is basically owned and run by Carphone Warehouse until I'd paid for it and the receipt has the Carphone Warehouse logo at the top.

The Samsung Experience Stores are being purchased by Samsung from the 1/3/17.

My Csc is XEU.

Still waiting for Nougat.

I have a factory unlocked S7 edge from the UK and I've had Nougat for weeks. Just got a 2nd update a couple of days ago. Did you try to check for updates manually?

Is your Csc a Btu ?

And yes i go into Settings, About Phone and use the first option to search.

The CSC code just identities where the phone is from. Phones purchased direct from Samsung are BTU. Phones purchased unlocked in UK & IRL are XEU. Carrier phones will have there own.

Thanks. Looking at mine its XEU so i would of thought surely we would get the update before the main carriers push them out?

Yeah that's what I thought at the beginning, but the way things are going I'm now not so sure.
