Custom ringtone playing through bluetooth too loudly

[AC Question]

Hey, just had an update to my s7 edge and now when i am connected to my truck bluetooth radio it plays my custom ringtone way too loud through my truck speakers. Before the update it played my custom ringtone on my phone and a gentle 'beep beep beep' on my truck Bluetooth. Now it is playing my custom ringtone through my truck speakers obnoxiously loud. Anyway to change this? Cheers

Check the settings on your head unit.

I am having the same annoyance, it is not your head unit.

I was using marshmallow on my s7 edge with a Bluetooth earpiece. When a call would come in, the earpiece would ring it's default beep - fantastic.

I upgraded to nougat and now my ringtone plays through my earpiece at the same volume level as my media volume settings. This is painfully loud and I cannot find a setting to change it back.

Hopefully this is the same issue the op is having and helps to clarify a little to anyone who can help

Having the same problem with my s7 active. Since the update my ringtone plays ove the stereo and it is entirely too loud.
