Easy way to transfer phones?

So my S7e won't connect to any mobile network, so I am getting a replacement from AT&T. How good is the stock phone transfer app? I'm just worried about the different games and apps that might be stored locally or something and will be lost when I transfer if it relies on my Google account. is there a way to check which of my apps will be backed up through my Google account ? This is the one area I'm really not sure how to deal with, I always feel like I'm leaving something behind on the old phone.

Open Google Drive and tap on the 3 lines in the upper left. Then go to Backups and tap on your backup to see what has been backed up.

Unless your game saves have been backed up in the cloud, you will most likely loose them.

There is an app called Helium in the Play Store that will backup some of your data, but I am not too familiar with it myself.
