Strange Android downgrade

My lady friend, a while ago, got an upgrade from 6.0 to 7.1 and had been having problems ( see thread "deadly slow, laggy....) .
Last night she got notice of anything upgrade and installed it and it too her from 7.1 to 7.0. Odd downgrade.
Anyway her phone seems better now.
Anyone else have this upgrade followed by a downgrade?

They did release a patch shortly after the main version came out... Not sure about the downgrade tho...

I'll check with my friend later. We are in the Philippines so maybe 7.1 was released here, but I'll have her double check

I got 7.0 yesterday. Not exactly sure what the improvements are, but the obvious changes, (pull down notifications) are not to my likings. Seems primitive, black & white and much smaller fonts. Haven't looked into customizing it yet.
