Does the stock/default messaging (sms) app use WiFi?

    My Provider is EE.

i am currently using ChompSMS because i was told that this uses WiFi as well as normal phone signal.. but i prefer the Standard messaging app, the only reason i stopped using it is because people weren't recieving my messages when i was in a place where i had no signal, maybe there is an option to turn wifi texting on?

any help would be appreciated, thank you Russ

Pretty sure ChompSMS is just regular SMS which uses the regular mobile network. The stock messaging app is also SMS/MMS only.

If you want messaging apps that use wifi or data then you need WhatsApp and those types of apps.
