My S7 over heats when the Wifi is turned on then turns it's self off every 1 - 2 minutes.. why? The phone works fine when the WIFI is off and 4G enabled.

Hi, Yes. but it was about 3 minutes later not 1-2 minutes. It gets hot on the on the rear next to the S on Samsung. I did drop the phone some time ago and it has a line down the right hand side (Pink). I wonder if it damaged the indies of the phone?

Just to clarify -- you're saying that wi-fi still turns off on its own in Safe Mode, but in 3 minutes rather than 1-2 minutes?

If the wi-fi toggle is turning off on its own in Safe Mode, then it could be a hardware issue related to the drop. That would require a trip to the repair shop. One more thing you can try is to reinstall the firmware using Smart Switch: http://www.sammobile.com/forum/showthread.php?t=29914. If you have Verizon, they have a useful Software Repair Assistant as well.
