I would like to know how others have managed repairs. I dropped my first S7 Edge shattering the glass. I searched high and low for a repair center. Local companies did not stock the parts because of the expense and many were simply uncomfortable repairing the S7 screen. The few that would ballpark a repair cost were upwards of $350. So, I just purchased a new S7 Edge.

Well, the aux jack is problematic on this phone. One day I suddenly could not hear out of one side of headphones. I searched YouTube but nothing worked. I once again trekked from repair center to repair center only to be told they do not do those repairs on Samsung phones. I reached out to Samsung who told me to send my phone in for some undefined length of time. Well, I can't be without a phone so I was pretty disappointed in their response. They told me to ask Verizon for a loaner. I knew it was a long shot but I reached out to Verizon who acted as if I had asked for a suitcase full of $100 bills. So I still have no resolution. I live in a major city and cannot get my phone repaired. Have others experienced similar issues with repairing Samsung phones?

If you live in a major city, Verizon should have a store with a repair center near you. If they sold you the phone, but refuse to repair it, you probably have legal recourse, but a letter (paper, not email) to their corporate headquarters addressed to Lowell C. McAdam (the CEO) might get you some action from the store. (Be very polite in the letter. To him it's just an annoyance that, if you';re really nice, he'll probably just hand to someone under him and tell them to get your phone fixed. And if he says it, an associate in the store, even the store manager, can't argue unless he or she is looking for another job.)

I learned a long time ago, that you start at the top and let that person decide how low down your request goes. (I had an HP laptop replaced - with the hard drive from the original returned to me in a USB case, with software to either clone the drive or copy individual programs and files, when the seller returned it as "found nothing wrong".)
