I've been having this problem for quite some time, but it's still happening.
So, to make a long story short: I used to have root on 6.0.1, the other day i upgraded to nougat 7.0 and rooted it. On both versions, for some reason, i can no longer set my own cpu frequencies. About 3 months ago when i was on 6.0.1 i was able to adjust the cores to my content, but randomly i couldn't anymore.
For example. let's say i wanted to set my min to 307 and max to 1.5 with any govenor (doesnt matter what gov, same result) Every single time when i save my settings in any kernel app such as kernel adiutor and such, my min adjusts itself from anywhere from 307-960, and the max is only 1.1ghz.
I tried no-frills cpu control and whenever i hit apply it says min:307 max: 1.1
This has been driving me CRAZY for the past few months, and i havent been able to get a solution :/
I don't have a custom kernel, as far as i know, i tried flashing a custom rom last night and got stuck in a bootloop and had to reset again, so i doubt it ever even flashed a kernel cus i barely know how...
Anyway, i'm gonna put some information about my phone if anyone needs it, hopefully someone on this forum will be able to help me. If you can give me any help, i would be VERY very grateful.
