I've been on an omelet making kick lately. This one is fresh spinach, portabella mushrooms, onions, fresh grated parm and mozzarella cheeses. Cooked with a little bacon grease for flavor. YUMMO!

Hi everyone. I have a little problem when I shoot directly into the sun with my galaxy s7, a strange bright spot appears on the screen. It moves around on the screen as I move the phone. Is this a defect or a normal thing? Please help. I want to add a photo here, soon I figure out how to do it on my S7.

Sunsets and very bright lights can cause all kinds of interesting effects in cameras of any kind and in every price range. Next time you go to the movies, for example, if you happen to see a movie with a sunrise or sunset look around the screen and you'll usually notice several artifacts. There's no such thing as a perfect lens or mirror.

Feel free to check out sample footage of the Samsung Galaxy S7 filmed using manual flat profile. Helps make post production a lot easier!

Shot a bunch of photos at the Seattle Thai Festival on Saturday. Really good results for a phone. I shot JPEG. Haven't tried RAW, yet. There were lots of very high-contrast scenes. I couldn't get too much detail back from hot highlights—not surprising from JPEGs. Opening up dark shadows was pretty disappointing. I was able to get a little out of them, but couldn't go crazy—noise got out of control pretty quickly. Focus was very fast. I was very pleased with that. Of course, almost everything is in focus anyway because of the huge depth of field, so it really ought to focus very fast. Overall, I'm quite pleased with the S7, always keeping in mind that it is only a cell phone.

By the way, my baseline for all these judgments is my Nikon D3. You can look at the photos and judge for yourself based on your perspective. These were all processed and cropped in Adobe Lightroom.

Videos are on the way to my YouTube channel. If anyone is interested, leave a comment and I'll come back and post a link.

I've been using a telephoto lens for some pictures. Here is the Cape Hatteras lighthouse on the Outer Banks of North Carolina.
As little as $8 US on Ebay.
