I have had my phone since Monday and its has frozen and rebooted itself at least once a day. I have the Gold Verizon version.
I have also been using the game launcher.. which randomly throws a "google play has unfortunately stopped working" then removes the two games i have installed in the launcher.
Thirdly my SD card randomly ejects itself, then remounts several times a day.
Anyone else having these issues? Or did i get a bad phone?

Mine rebooted into maintenance boot mode twice yesterday and just did it again today. I also have the Gold Verizon version. I am not using the game launcher. I do not have an SD card installed, but have a Samsung one coming in today. It's annoying, but not so bad as to make the phone unusable. I have also gotten the google play error as well. I suspect a problem with an OS/hardware interaction that's going to require and OS update to fix.

Same problem here on my S7 Edge... I am in the UK so have the Exynos chipset. I've sent mine back as I got fed up of the rebooting. It would seem to do it at random points... launching games, and unlocking the screen were common though.

I sent my S7 back the day after I got it. In that time I did 2 factory resets and experienced countless seemingly spontaneous reboots. Sometimes it would hang when trying to unlock the screen, sometimes during web browsing, sometimes when navigating through the phone settings, etc. I didnt see any pattern to it. But it occurred often enough that I cannot use a phone like that as my daily driver.

I am hoping I just got a bad sample, but my fear is that it is something wrong with the Exynos chipset, which is the only one available in my country.

I have a US S7 Edge and mine seems to reboot a lot when listening to the iheart app (has already happened twice this morning), so I don't know if there is a connection there or not. Its a relatively quick reboot, so I'll give this some time to play out and see if it's hardware related or if a fix may be coming soon. Just wanted to share my 2 cents.

Mine has stopped rebooting. Ditched the game launcher, Removed the SD card till i can format it.
In fact now that i think about it it....i had to do a hard reboot. my screen went black and wouldn't come back on (phone still on...just screen was black) Did a hard reboot ( Power + down Vol button if anyone needs to know) and hasnt rebooted itself since....maybe it doesnt like the SD card? maybe it just wanted a hard reboot. Either way, its not terrible...i am hoping all is fixed with a update patch.

I have a brand new Samsung SD card in my GOLD S7, and it does the same thing as you all are describing. I don't know if I should take the phone back. It has almost been 2 weeks, and I don't want to miss my window. Tmobile already had an update for this phone, and I did it and it seemed better til today.

I'm in Greece. Phone is rebooting intermittently, 1-2x almost everyday. No issues with sd card. Did one factory reset for another issue (word&excel not working) but reboot still happens after it. Still got issues with OK Google getting access to mic, seems another app is occupying it.

I got my new S7. I have sent to other one for repair. They changed the motherboard. Then it came back with the same issue. Then Samsung sent me a bran new S7. I have no more SD card notifications at all. Not even when I reboot the phone. Yesterday (again) I was listening to music (a set of 2 hours long) from my SD card. I started to look at pictures (again) at the same time. After 40 mins or so, my phone stopped the music and stopped being able to read my SD. Everything froze and I had to reboot. Then, again, a few mins later (listening to music and looking at pictures), it did it again. On the second time, I was not able to reboot the phone using the power button (keeping pressure for 10 seconds). I had to do it using the volume down/home/power. The phone screen was totally black and there was no way to unfreeze it. My notification light was flashing blue (as I had new emails and text), but the phone was not responsive at all.

It seems like Samsung just removed the SD notification as a whole in the new phone but did not fix the issue.

For those who don't have the issue, before commenting, I would appreciate if you could listen to music and look at your pictures at the same time (all from the micro SD card) for at least 30-40 minutes.

I strongly believe that ALL phones have this issue, but that those who don't just have not access pictures while listening to music (demanding on the SD card reading). Do it if you can... and see if it creates problems. And let me know once you did the above.

I forgot to mention. I am a computer and smartphone savy. I flashed all my S1, S2, S3, S4 on a daily basis. I did purchased another SD card (even if my sandisk is working perfectly on my S5). I got a Samsung evo 64gm. The issue remains on both SD cards, and before you comment about it, YES i did reformat on multiple occasions both with my pc AND within the phone. I also did factory reset on multiple occasions. So it is not the SD's the problem. Just trust, I did everything possible.
