hey, so i am noticing for the past few days that i am seeing cell standby at like 8 or so percent in my battery usage. was wondering if anyone can enlighten me on what exactly that means and if this is something that can be tweaked as it i assume it is using a bit more power than necessary.

much appreciated.

It's WiFi calling most likely.

How much it's draining depends on what other resources are using the battery. Cell Standby is at 19% on my Note 5 but it's been on for over 27 hours with 3 hours SOT and 26% to spare. So it doesn't matter that it's high.

thanks. so i have it set for cellular as the preferred calling method. if i turn off wifi calling altogether will that affect it positively?

just curious, so far my battery life is working for me. i don't really have any complaints, but i am happy to tweak it slightly to rid some unnecessary drain.
