Stuttering in 3D games

As title, there's lower framerate in some 3D games whereas it's smooth on my work phone, the S6 edge. Something like Smash Hit is noticeably smoother on the S6 edge.

There had better be a software update to fix this! I'm not a huge mobile gamer but there should never be a regression in performance compared to its predecessor the S6!

I have the Game Tools power saving features disabled by the way.

Any other kinds of power saving modes active? Or do you have any "RAM booster" apps installed? If so, uninstall them.

Nope, nothing of the sort. Same apps installed on both S7 and the S6 edge.

I play a game called Song Pop 2 and it too has stuttering. Its not a graphically intensive game either. Other "lesser" phones I had like the Nexus 5X and Moto X Pure ran it smoothly. Not sure what's going on.
