Stock clock alarms and OK Google issue

So I often use voice commands to set or change alarms and have no problem saying "okay Google set alarm for 7am" or whatever. However something strange happens when I try and turn the alarm off with a voice command. Attempting to do so gets a response that the clock app needs to be updated with what looks to be maybe a link? Not sure. Clicking on it does nothing. Going to my apps in the app store doesn't even show that I have a clock app to even update. I can see that there is a clock app from Google in the store, but is it even the same one as the one on my phone? I am confused here and don't know why I can turn on an alarm with my voice but not turn off. Really strange. Any help here would be appreciated.
