Can I buy a s7 from tmobile and then use it on at&t (first sim card will be att)

I was wondering if i could buy a tmobile s7 and then use it on at&t. The one thing that I am interested is the wireless hotspot. I have unlimited data but i need to pay for hotspot.

I think if you buy it from T Mobile, you will have to have it activated on their network. I think they will only unlock it after it has been active on TMobile. But should you be able to pick up an unlocked T Mobile S7, you would be able to use it on AT&T.

LTE coverage won't be great as you'll be missing some of the bands
