I like Keepass but my wife has a Mac and the Keepass app is a hot mess on a Mac, so I need to find her a free password manager that doesn't charge for the multiple-device feature. All of the popular managers I've tried that initially appear to be "free", actually require a subscription to gain access from multiple devices. Do you know of one other than Keepass that doesn't charge for that feature?

Just pay the $10-15 a year and get the multiple device feature. It is worth it. I use LastPass, other people I know use Dashlane.

If you can afford a Galaxy S7, you can afford the annual fee of a good password manager.

Here is a link that rates many of the password managers:

I've used Norton's Identity Safe for a couple of years now and it's a pretty great option that offers, for free, what others charge for. The ONLY gripe I have is that it doesn't auto-fill logins in mobile unless you're using their own browser (some undisclosed 3rd party apps work with it now, though, but not Chrome or the Samsung stock browser). Other than that, it's pretty great.

I hate subscriptions too. Not because of the price which is reasonable, but just because it is yet another thing to think about in a sea of things to think about already. It adds up.

You might want to look into Empass password manager. It's free on desktop and free on mobile for less than 20 passwords. More than that it's just a one time fee.

I tried to configure the vault on my PC (prior to dealing with my wife's Mac) to sync with the Norton Identity Safe Vault app I just installed on my phone as a test. it won't sync. seems that from what I read on line, I should be able to create a cloud vault from the PC version of Norton, but there is no option within the app to do that, which runs counter to Norton's on line help. I think the free Comcast version of Norton has something missing.

Worse yet, I just checked the Mac--Norton doesn't even have a Vault! So much for considering Norton for my wife's password needs.

Not sure why, I sync mine and my PC's without issues from day one. It IS a separate download, though, it's not something you can set up from a Norton suit. But after setting it up on my PC I just sign in on mobile and my passwords are there, and if I add any new account on any of my devices (1 Android phone, 1 Android tablet, 1 iPhone, 2 PCs). I didn't know they stopped support for Macs, sorry about that. But there is a workaround if you don't mind installing something else: Bluestacks. It lets you emulate Android on your Mac (or PC) and install/run mobile apps. It wouldn't integrate with the browser, I'm assuming, but it's one way to do it.

Do you have the free version of Norton that Comcast subscribers are given access to? I can't see the cloud version of the Vault on my PC and there is no Vault showing on the Mac version of Norton provided to Comcast subscribers.

Macs are such a pain--so many times we'd like to install an app but it's either not available for OSX, or it is pricey. I rue the day I bought my wife a Mac.

I've no idea what a 'cloud version' of the Vault is and nope, I'm not using Norton on my computer, Comcast's or otherwise. Like I said, Identity Safe is a separate download, not related to any other Norton Product. I downloaded it to my PC and created the account there, downloaded it to all my other devices, signed in, and all my passwords are synced.

Dudes can't say hot mess. It's bad enough when chicks say it.

Norton's Identity Safe just updated today on Android and just squashed my biggest gripe with it: It now supports auto-fill on Chrome I'm so happy!
