My note 5 had full auto brightness until I upgraded to MMS. Now it seems the s7 has brought full auto brightness back. Or am I wrong?

Mine just updated as well and apparently you can adjust the auto brightness as well. With the auto brightness checked, adjust the slider and it changes the how bright it can get. Really weird if you ask me.

Yup. It's not good UX at all. But I imagine it is hard to find a way to do it any better in the limited space they use, and nobody wants a giant three line entry in their notification shade for brightness control.

Makes me glad it's my job to complain about things instead of find ways to improve them

If I move the slider it does adjust. But once I uncheck the box and then check it again my input is voided. So that's different from the last iteration
