I purchased my S7 two days ago and I saw today that the root folder is only 4GB, the rest is internal memory. I'm worried because this keeps me from sending videos on Whatsapp for example. But this is worrying me.

Welcome to Android Central! I'm not sure what that's referring to. Show us a screenshot of the native system settings menu for Settings>Storage.

It's also possible that you might have a clone or knockoff S7--go to Settings>About Phone and tell us the exact model number. You can also run an app like CPU-Z and see what processor the phone has. If it's anything besides a Qualcomm Snapdragon or Samsung Exynos, then it's a knockoff.

not sure what lead you to say that it every phone I've had fills up to almost full on the root folder. my S8+ is current full except 2.4MB and it runs fine and have very few apps on it and no games. This is common. Has absolutely ZERO to do with it being a knockoff or anything like that if the system needs more nodes it'll create them if the phone is running fine don't worry about it. This has NOTHING to do with WhatsApp being able to function properly. reinstall the app or hop on their forums, check the video file size etc but it has nothing to do with your system/root folder whatsoever

Mine is the same way. it's absolutely nothing to worry about. uni stall about 10 apps or so and you'll see it doesn't change a thing on the root folder. This is my S8+ after one week of ownership brand new from T-Mobile.
