Brightness readjusts for no reason

I have a new Samsung Galaxy Note 7, and the brightness continually (a) readjusts to a lower brightness setting every time the screen turns off, and (b) turns off auto brightness without my input. Has anyone else had this experience? It only started today and I've had it for a month.

Lol wait a second you had the not yet announced/released galaxy note 7 for a month?

What you are seeing is adaptive brightness which adjusts itself based on lighting.

I'm guessing he had an S7 or a fake Note 7.
