Hello, I've tried to play music from my phone via rca-aux mode in my car and it doesn't work. I tried with an iphone and a galaxy s5 and they both work perfectly. Is it because the s7 is too new or is there something else I'm missing?
I'm assuming you're just plugging the cable into the headphone jack on the S7, correct? If so, you may have received one with a defective headphone port. Try a pair of wired headphones, and see if those work. You may also need to try a different aux cable.
The headphone port works fine, I play music with my headphones all the time. And isn't all the aux cables the same? There isn't a certain model of aux cable that is specifically for the s7. I don't know maybe I triggered a button that disallowed it to play in aux mode?
Don't think there is a button for that. Have you checked the volume? On both the car radio and the phone. I play audio from mine with no problem. Maybe the auxiliary port is disabled if there is an option for that or it is malfunctioning.
Recently had the same issue in a hire car in the US. I have a case on my S7 and the aux cable seems to be too thick to fit with the case on. Even with the case of the connection is not great, it felt as though the cable was about to pull out, not as solid a connection as I get with headphones. However, I could at least play music in the car with case off.
