    Hello,

We made some custom ringtones in the .m4r format when we had iPhones and now would like to convert them so they work on our s7 phones. I read that the s7 uses .mp3 files for ringtones and would like to find out how to convert the .m4r files to .mp3 files. Is there a good app for this, or does anyone have any other recommendations?

(With an Internet search, we saw some options, tried one called Zamzar but couldn't get it to work.)

Secondly, how would we transfer the ringtones to the phone and where would we store them? We also want to keep all the ringtones that came with our s7 phones, it that's possible.

Lastly, once we create the .mp3 files, is it possible to move them from a PC onto the phone (similar to how iTunes works) by connecting the phone to the PC? Or do we have to insert a chip into the computer, copy to the chip and then copy from the chip to the phone?

    Thank you!

Here's how you can convert from m4r to mp3: https://www.techwalla.com/articles/h...-mp3-in-itunes

To copy the mp3 files to your phone, connect via USB, swipe down the notification panel, tap the USB icon and select MTP. Then on Windows Explorer (assuming you have a PC), drag and drop the mp3 files to the Ringtones directory. Once they're there, you should be able to select them when you go to the Ringtones selection menu.

We converted some of the files as described in the article. The screenshots are helpful.

Then a friend sent us a link to Online Audio Converter and we converted some that way, then moved them all into the Ringtones folder.

    Thanks.
