will I be able to pick up AT&T 4G LTE using a Verizon S7?
or does that depend on which city I'm located?

the reason I'm asking is that I've been using a Verizon
Galaxy Note 5 and it has no problems picking up AT&T
4G LTE, with speed in excess of 50mbps. (in major
    cities)

just wondering if the Verizon S7 can do the same as
    the Verizon Note5.

    Thanks!

No, I don't think so. The specs say that the phone supports bands 3, 7, and 20, while AT&T uses 2, 4, 5, and 17.

I looked on Samsung USA website and the S7 has way more 4G bands than my old Note 5. (both Verizon versions, of course)

    Verizon verison of Note5: 2, 3, 4, 5, 7, 13
    Verizon version of S7: 2, 3, 4, 5, 7, 8, 13, 18, 19, 20, 38, 39, 40, 41

    Galaxy Note5 32GB (Verizon) Phones - SM-N920VZKAVZW | Samsung US
    Galaxy S7 32GB (Verizon) Phones - SM-G930VZDAVZW | Samsung US

just ran the speedtest using AT&T SIM on my Verizon Note 5. got 48Mb/s down. according to a 4G discovery app that I downloaded from the Playstore, AT&T is running on 4G LTE band 2 in my area.. (which the Verizon S7 also have)

It can -- It just won't have all the bands of a normal AT&T phone. If your area has good coverage for AT&T it should work fine.

@DraftBeer, thanks for that additional information! Weird that the Verizon site for the phone doesn't show all of those bands ...

oh great... I just remembered a very old episode of the original Law & Order... a murderer with multiple personalities frequently writes questions on a blackboard... his other personalities answers them by writing the answers on the same blackboard, with a yellow chalk, in a completely different handwriting style.

finally got around to testing the AT&T postpaid SIM card on my Verizon Galaxy S7 a few minutes ago. Popped the SIM in and powered it on. I had to manually add the AT&T APN, just like what I did on the Verizon Note5. A couple of seconds later, the phone picked up AT&T's 4G LTE with 2 bars showing.(again, this is inside my house) Did a couple of speed tests. Gog 27Mb/s and 35Mb/s. So it's all good now.
