A
AC Question
For some reason my AP news push notifications are no longer working. I've not changed any settings or downloaded any other apps recently; it had been working for for over a year. I just now realized I haven't received any for several months.
As far as I know, there are several areas which may effect the operation of push notifications. None of the other apps I have are malfunctioning with regard to notifications, so this must be related to news apps specifically. I did download the Reuters news app to see if its notifications functioned, and they did not.
I've got a Galaxy 7 with the March 2017 update to the system.
In Applications Manager, I've got the AP app set for:
Allowed background date usage.
Allow unrestricted data usage.
I allow Notifications.
It's set a priority.
I've got my phone set to performance mode.
I've got my phone settings set to receive notifications from AP Moble.
I have no power saving mode activated.
I've got my battery settings marked with AP being un-monitored.
I've cleared the Cache.
I've uninstalled/reinstalled the AP app.
I still receive nothing.
Any ideas?
