Is my warranty still active ?

My A8 was restarting in an endless loop. Long story short - I tried to install a new firmware using Odin (the official 6.0.1 one from samsung) but it didn't work, and now the phone doesn't turn on unless I plug it to the charger. But when connected to charger, it loads into "emergency" mode but still shuts and powers itself up in an endless loop. Having it connected to the charger over night didn't help. Even if I get to the Download screen, it shuts itself down when disconnecting from the charger, so I can't use it on my PC and upload a new firmware.

But luckily I found that by it's IMEI, it's still in warranty. The problem is that I bought it abroad, and my local dealer won't fix it. I need to do that via Samsung itself.

I don't know what they will tell me if I tell them I tried to use Download mode and install a new firmware... does that void the warranty ?
