Auto Brightness totally messed up

This phone with Auto Brightness set is horrible, it's either way to dark outside to even see the screen, or way to bright in a dark environment that it seems to work totally opposite from what auto Brightness should do. I turned it off and just use the brightness slider to be able to use the phone outdoors. Even at max brightness it's still pretty dim outside. I'm still less then 14 days since buying it, I may return it for an exchange, it's a company issued phone so I have to get another S7, just hope it's just a problem with this perticular phone and my replacement is not the same.

Auto brightness on the S7 sucks. they put the sensor in a terrible place and it is constantly being covered if playing games or holding it in landscape.

Usually I don't either, but the one on my LG V20 works great.
