So, she took a bunch of pictures today and when I went to see they were all movies, which I was happy because I wanted movies to begin with.

But there was something funny about them, they seem to overlap like if she was doing a burst shot but as movies.

When I went to transfer to my phone via Android Beam, it asked me if I wanted them as an image or a movie.

Then finally I decided to copy them to my pc to examine WTH was going on. And to my surprise they were all JPG files and none of them were movies.

For my final trip on this subject, the files I transferred to my phone choosing the movie option, became lower resolution MP4 files on her phone.

So is this a Samsung feature? Is this that thing they advertised about "fixing" pictures after the fact? Are they taking before and after pictures like a burst shot and then offering as a 2 second movie? If so, can I save them as mp4 without having to to the transfer thing first?

Also, what setting is that so I can enable it on my S7?

There is an option in camera settings for motion photo which records a short video before and after a photo. Perhaps she has that turned on.
