question about vent clips

Hi guys so I've come here anytime I needed help or advice hoping to hit gold again.

So I have a road trip coming up and was looking into a car mount. I live in Alberta Canada and we've had some doozy heat from the sun and I usual have AC pumping for a chunk to cool the car down.

Would this cause a problem for my phone. Just asking because putting my phone over a direct air source that's cold seems like a bad idea (destroyed a phone before because I had to have it on me in the cold) I know it's not as cold as a winter. But if anyone has InSite that be great.

And I would try the sun visor trick but I'm tall man in a small car. And any cigagret holders are null and void with me because that's housing my FM transmitter.

Hello. I decided to pay a bit extra and buy the Mountek holder that fits in the CD slot. I've had it for 2 years now and still solid. I have a F150 and it holds my phone at just the right position for use as GPS.
