My phone stopped allowing me to move or edit any of my apps, widgets, and folders.

At some point my phone stopped allowing me to move or edit any of my apps, widgets, and folders. It there a setting or something I may have disabled?

Whenever I tap and hold my finger on any icon. It lightens up as if I am able to edit but then nothing happens. It just lightens up and stays more transparent.

Easy mode is not enabled.

Do you have developer options enabled? if so see if animations are turned off.

Window, transition, and animator duration scale are all set to animation scale 1x. If thats what you are talking about?

Yes. Some folks have turned animations off and then wound up where you are.
