My bank finally supports Samsung pay so I decided to give it a try, after registering and entering my card I swipe up and it says activation pending, is this normal, if so how long does it take? It's been about 24 hours, and I have a s7 with Verizon. Thanks for any help

It depends on your bank. Activation should be fairly 'instant' as long as you have a code or e-mail or if your bank requires it, internal verification (that's what would take longer).

Yeah they sent a code, and I entered it, when I signed up, but still pending.

That's odd. Have you tried removing the card and re-adding it? The authorization should be quite fast after the code is sent, unless, again, there's a hold-up on your bank's end. If removing/re-adding doesn't work, I'd give them a call to see if they're placing a hold on your card or something.

Yes I have deleted and readded my card I have also powered my phone down and back up just to say I did, I have contacted Samsung and there asking for something IMEI, that I can find in settings and about phone, not sure what this is and I didn't find it anyways, I have not yet contacted bank to see if there is a hold on the card, but I did use my card earlier at gas station and worked fine.

The IMEI is like your phone's 'hardwired' fingerprint. It's the unique hardware ID given to it by the manufacturer and registered with the phone gods; hardware-wise, only one phone should have that hardware ID. They are probably asking this to verify the phone's authenticity and to make sure it's properly linked to your account, but again, I think the problem is with your bank, not Samsung.

I know, your card works... but you're adding the card to a third party service, and your bank might be halting the authorization on their end due to fraud protection, verification locks, etc.

Just give them a call. They should be able to see in their system if SPay's request to generate a virtual number for your card is going through or not.

I have contacted my bank and they was unable to find my to activate it, I was told that was all they could do and I would need to contact Samsung. Last time I spoke to Samsung they asked for a IMEI, which u explained what this is, when I go to settings and about phone I see several things, nothing that specifically says IMEI, so out of this list which is the IMEI?

I had to call my bank and tell them I wanted to activate SP on whatever device I had (GS7 and Gear S3). They asked me about 3 separate transactions and I had to tell them the amount of each transaction. Then they activated it. Never got a code from the bank. That was on Visa.

How do I delete Samsung pay from my S7?
Is there anyway of blocking Samsung from adding new apps to my phone without my consent?

Don't want it, don't use it and do not like the idea that I get apps forced on me during a OS update

You're passing judgement on Samsung Pay, which you've never used? Samsung Pay is actually safer than using your card. Maybe you should switch to a feature phone because every smartphone gets the standard apps reinstalled after a new os update.
