I have a Samsung EP-NG930 fast charge stand that I purchased when the charge port on my s6 edge went out. I usually charged in vehicle orientation so I could see more content at one time on web pages while scrolling. Now that I have an S7, fast charge is now in play. That being said, does one way or the other charge more efficiently, are the both pretty much equally efficient?

There can be issues with heating up when using fast charging. Lithium batteries don't like getting too hot. I never use it unless I have urgent need in the near future. Even then, I just put the battery pack case on the phone.
That said, if your device doesn't get hot, use it by all means.
