Cut micro sim to nano sim?

I just brought an S7 edge and my micro sim card is quite a bit larger than the nano sim card slot on the S7. It would appear as though I would have cut some of the actual chip to make it fit, is that possible?

1st, no, you can't trim it.
Also, have you tried turning it 90 degess from what's shown in the picture and insert in the relief cut on the tray?

Some people over at reddit seem to think the gold part of the chip can be cut. It's the part where the three contact marks are seen that hold the information needed... I'm not exactly sure you mean turning it 90 degrees but there is no way that sim card is fitting in like that...

If you look very close, can you see a scored line? Many sim are made so they can fit in multitude sizes if you break away the portion designed to break away.

You could always get a new SIM card from your provider. Some of them will charge a nominal fee (I believe T-Mobile USA charges $10). If you cut the existing card the wrong way, then you'll need to get a new card anyways...

There are three scored lines... Apparently that is the part of the chip that holds the information and the part of the chip where there is no scored line can be cut away...
