So I've had an S7 since launch as my primary device, I've bought the Note 8 and 9 yet my SIM ends up back in this phone. I just don't care for the curved screens, it's a shame after 6 years may bounce over to LG for my next phone.

Any case, phone had become so laggy that it could take a few seconds to return to the home screen, and even longer for my icons to appear. The app drawer took time to load as apps would appear, and text input lagged. No matter what I tried it wouldn't speed back up.

Factory reset it out of frustration, now there's no perceivable difference between it and my Note 9 for basic phone functions and social media. Battery is still shot after having 1100 charge cycles put on it, but performance is great.

Just sharing this as a reminder factory reset can do wonders, and you don't need new flagship specs to have a smooth android experience.
