All photos not copied to new phone?

[Android Central Question]

I have synced my Galaxy S7 to my S9 and the only thing that hasn't transferred (using switch) are my photos?
It has transferred a few but not the majority, does anyone know why?
I have already tried putting the sim back in my old S7 and syncing again, still won't work.
All the pics are still on my S7 but have cleared from Google photos also, so no idea what is going on, can anyone help please?

Sync the pictures (in the S7) to your Google account. Then put the SIM into the S9, put in the same Google account, and sync pictures, and they'll sync from the Google cloud.
