Sounds like a great device. Flat glass. Shock proof. Big battery. Water resistant. I could live without the buttons although I would prefer them. Make one with 16/9 screen

O.K. Guys, it's getting really close to the end of June - where the Hell is this thing? We still haven't even seen a significant Galaxy S8 Active leak other than that cheesy frontal view that everyone seems to have. Let's go "Electronic New Sources" - just because it's AT&T Exclusive doesn't mean there's not a large crowd waiting to read about it!!!

Here's some mention that Samsung accidentally posted a pdf regarding the Active 8 on it's website: https://www.cnet.com/news/samsung-ga...-in-documents/

I tried to follow the link provided to Samsung's website and it looks like they took it down.

The PDF leak was new as far as I'd heard. Everyone only reported it this week, as well as the GFXBench info. But still confirms the phone is on its way. AT&T has been the only one carrying this phone so I take that as a given. Not that I'm upgrading...

O.K. Samsung/AT&T - it's July! What the hell? Are you going to show us this thing or just leave us with drawings and rumors?

(It's passed FCC, I saw that at least!)

I'm going to keep an eye on the active , I think the regular s8 is too fragile for me even though I do like the phone . If the active is just as nice as the s8 but without all glass I think I'm gonna jump on it

Potential release date hints from S8 Active cases on Amazon. The majority of them state that they will be in stock on August 31st.

    But one is available now!

And there is already an S8 Active case review on YouTube:

The YouTube video review does a nice job of speculating about the size of the S8 Active. It seems like it will a 5.8" screen, I hope so!

So we must be getting very close!

Damned, we have an Official Release Date for the Galaxy Note 8 of August 23 in New York but still nothing on the Active - what's up Samsung? I'd love to be able to compare the two at my AT&T Store in September when the Note 8 arrives and make an educated decision... let's get this "Active" Show on the Road!!!

We have actual photos of the Galaxy S8 Active! Flat screen, no green cammo, and it looks thick enough for a 4,000 mAh battery.

Seems we don't have a lot say about anything anymore Buddy! The ONLY way we could get Samsung to make a change that WE want is to stop buying as a group - and you know that'll never happen!

Samsung Galaxy S8 Active detailed specs leak - GSMArena.com news
Yeah, I think going to the flat screen, the metal body and bolstering the edges for shock resistance, it had to get a bit larger than the standard S8. I like it... I want to hold it in one hand and a Note 8 in the other hand and then make a decision. I might just end up with the Active. I've been enjoying the S7 Active since they took my Note 7s away from me - what the Hell, right?

I actually liked the physical keys, it helps you use the phone while the phone is still wet. But it's nicer now the screen is bigger and has less bezels.

The Galaxy S8 Active has now been appeared on the AT&T website! Sadly, not on the phone order page; not yet anyway.

it is located at the link below in reference to an AT&T promo for a Samsung TV. The 3 Galaxy S8 models are listed as being eligible for the promo.

Hey, the fact that the S8 Active is actually mentioned by AT&T has got to mean that this phone is going live on the order page soon!

Click on the link, scroll down the page, and expand the "What Samsung smartphones are eligible" section and lo and behold, there is the Active!!!

If you plan to put a case on the Note 8 you should put a case on and then compare. The regular S series' biggest advantage over the Active series is their looks, but after owning a S6 Active and then a regular S7 I realized that with a case the regular S series is uglier, thicker, and heavier than the Active series.
