Refurbished Galaxy S8, no mobile data

Hi, I just received a refurbished Samsung Galaxy S8 yesterday. The phone is in great condition. After inserting my SIM card calls, texts, and wifi work great but I can't connect to the data network. I'm wondering if it has anything to do with the APN settings but they are greyed out so I can't edit them.

I have Verizon. I tried adding attachments but I'm not sure if it worked. After I uploaded the "close this window" button didn't work so I pressed the back button instead.

Can you get screen shot one page before edit APN want see see what list available, that APN screen shot you cant edit that's why it's greyed out

Everything looks good here , your on a unlocked version , try go settings >general management >reset >reset network

Okay, I tried that and it's still the same. Says "no internet" when I go to the web browser when not connected to wifi.

I think I've figured it out. I went out into my yard and was able to get a very weak 3G signal for a few minutes but I still couldn't do anything on the internet. My old phone (same carrier, Verizon) had 4G in my house all the time. This refurbished phone for some reason doesn't have a good signal here. Maybe I should try to exchange for a different one? I don't know if that would help.

Ok, where you show picture of the APN upper 3 dots right corner can you reset APN? If so try that

It might be because unlocked version instead of carrier version , which could be remedy by flashing to carrier version or returning that and getting carrier version

No it won't let me reset unfortunately. I'm not sure what is causing this phone to have almost no signal in my house even though it's on the same carrier as my old phone. It's weird.

This is the steps :

Windows computer needed

Latest Odin can Google it and download should be 3.13.1 or 3.14.1 / or Frija tool

Download samfirm v0.4.1 tool , extract it with 7zip.

You will extract files for Odin once download with 7zip and will do same for firmware with 7zip .

There will be 4 files after you extract the firmware

CSC

Each of those files will go in Odin when you open to the corresponding slots

CSC USE HOME CSC FIILE TO SAVE DATA

Home data slot dont put nothing

connect your phone with cable to computer , once the files are in its slots hit start, once done you'll see pass in Odin and it will reboot



Put your model number,region select check for updates , then download the Rom , extract the Rom with 7zip.


*Make sure you put phone in download mode
*If dont see your phone connected in Odin change cables or ports in computer .
