Galaxy S8 Quick Reply Notifications No Longer Working

[Android Central Question]

I've had my phone little over a year now and one feature I really enjoyed was when I got a message (typically instagram) I'd be able to reply to it without having to go into the app. I could tap the notification and and reply while continuing what I was doing.

However, for the last few days the feature has stopped working, instead it just takes me to the app. Is there anything I might have to do to fix it? I've already checked for updates and done the typical restart, uninstall the app, etc. It's never had issues with battery saver and I havent changed any settings.

Any ideas?

I had a similar thing happen -- the word suggestion feature -- but only for my text messages. For some reason, all of a sudden, out of nowhere, instead of the words appearing, the last item copied to the clipboard appeared over the words suggestion bar. Anyway, being a tech *****, I had no idea what to do, so I just did a re-start...and thankfully, it worked. I don't use Instagram, so I can't help you.

Any changes to your "notifications" settings? Good luck!
