I probably will. I have access to use my companies corporate account to use an upgrade one of our lines at subsidized pricing. So if they follow current pricing for the S7 and S7 Edge, $199 and $299 respectively, I'll probably get the S8 at $199.

I'll come back to Samsung when they have a top of the line flat screen alternative. Why make a giant screen only to distort the edges?

Because it sold nearly twice what the flat version did.

If the S8 disappoints, and the feedback they get is that people want a flat version, you bet it will return.

people will tire of the distortion but it could take years.

As bezels shorten, I think a lot of future phones will sport slight curvature. The key will be to make them flush with the sides rather than sliding outward. The Note 7 did a much better job of that.

They appear to be solving the buttons issue, I'm interested if they remove the SD card slot and have a 128 GB or 256 GB internal storage option. I'd also want a flat screen version. Preferably metal body instead of glass.

Neat not clear viewing of netflix at edges effect.

I never have that issue. I find viewing of content beautiful on the Edge screen. Having said that, I think keeping a flat version is still a good idea and I'm not sure why they are moving away from it.

My wife and I got our Note 4s back in October 2014 when they were released. The Note 4 has been great but mine is starting to act sluggish even after a factory reset and my wife's has been dropped one (or 20) too many times and randomly restarts now. We'll probably go for the S8 or S8 plus for sure since 2.5 years out of the Note 4s is acceptable and we don't really use the stylus so don't need to wait for the Note 8.

Yeah will get it, need to see if it'll be good enough to keep using it until the next flagship from some other company comes out.
