The Galaxy S8's face unlock feature can apparently be spoofed by a photo.

Well, I can't say I was too surprised.

Apparently, the facial unlock on the S8 can be spoofed with a picture of the registered person's face.

Honestly, I can't say I'm too surprised. Facial unlock has never made sense to me ever since it made its debut on ICS. I've always thought that it was gimmicky and more of a novelty add.

That said, I hope that this can be made to be less likely to happen in a future software build, but honestly, I think you're better off using either the iris scanner (which can't be fooled by a photo) or the rather inconveniently placed fingerprint sensor.
