If I had fingers that could reach the FPS I would be some piano player.
I dont have long fingers at all and I was able to manage. It'll take some getting used to though, it is a bit oddly placed

If you showed s8+ to someone in 2010 they would think its a tablet. No one would consider it a phone.

I believe that. When I had the 1st Note people were still into small phones and would constantly say "Man that's big" when they saw mine. I bet they got big phones now.

Yea. I remember back when I had an LgOptimusL9 and thought the 4.7" was huge

I don't know how a phone is too small to hold. Too thin I can see. But, this is pretty standard thickness, not something outrageous like 5mm. That's too small.
You put a case on the S8 and there should be no problems holding it.

I remember when the pearl was one of the hottest selling phones. I had the BB Bold 9000.

I had that as well and couldn't believe I was buying a phone that large.

If you think the S8 is small, you're going to think the G6 is tiny!

I felt like the S8+ was too big and the S8 was perfect. Of course, if I was going to purchase either of the S8s, I'd get the bigger one just because of the bigger battery.

People's definition of perfect size has kept changing since last 10 years. It used to be that iPhone with its 3.5 in screen was the perfect size, then the iPhone 4 was the perfect size, and now apparently S8 is the perfect size.
Soon enough the S11 plus with its 6.8 in display will be the perfect size.
"It may be 6.8 in but with the bezel less design its only slightly bigger than S8 plus."

Actually the G6 is 4mm wider than the S8. The S8's screen is just slightly longer.

Ah, dammit. Of course, I'm starting to get on the fence as to whether or not I should cancel my S8 preorder and go with the S8+. I'm holding my G6 that I'm about to return in a few days, and while I like the size, maybe it's just Gboard I'm still getting used to from my iPhone 7 Plus, I'm experiencing a lot of typos that may be attributed to the G6's screen size. If the S8 is narrower, my typing accuracy may even get worse.

This is exactly why I changed my order from the 8 to the 8+. After watching tons of videos and looking at pics and specs, I don't want a phone any narrower than my S7E, and the 8+ with just about the same width is perfect, fits in all my pockets. And the larger screen and battery is all the better.

The width of the S8 screen is the same as a 5.3" phone if it were 16:9. That's why it feels small. Don't let the diagonal size fool you. The S8+ is the same width as a 5.6" 16:9 screen, which makes it closer to the S7 Edge.

I assume the Note 8 will have a 6.5" screen, which is as wide as a 5.8" 16:9 screen.
Not quite. If the Galaxy S8's screen was flat, you could say its screen is as wide as a 5.3" display, but when you factor in the curved screen and the extremely small bezels, it's much narrower than another phone with a 5.3" screen would be.

Heck, the iPhone 7 has a 4.7" screen, and the Galaxy S8 - with a screen that should be over half an inch bigger with the same aspect ratio - is only 1mm wider. That's crazy.

Not! My wife...who is 5 foot 2" held the s8...said way too small...she came from a note 7....said G6 was much better feeling in the hand. S8+ looked great...but waiting on Note 8. G6> S8. Our opinion. Love our G6.

Well I've held them both now, and for me the S8 is nice (though slippery), the S8+ is too big. Which is what I expected from the specs, but I like to directly confirm.

I like how the S8 feels more compact than the S7 edge. Here it is next to my S7 edge and S6 edge. I also brought my iPhone 7 plus which I used to take the pic.

I went to my local tmobile store to look at both phones... I'm happy I ordered the S8 plus... It's perfectly sized
The S8 is too narrow... Would be a problem trying to type on it specially coming from a note 7
There's also the battery to consider
