I do not understand the question. Sorry.

To be clear, the agreement they offered was to charge my account $9.99/month, for 24 months, if I were to purchase an S8 Plus from them, trade-in a paid-off S7 Edge, and be on the (new) Verizon Unlimited plan. No addition up-front payments or credits were stipulated.

They provided no written guarantee they would honor this arrangement when the (pre-ordered) phone is delivered on April 21st, but it appears to be a standard promotion at this time.
What is the actual total amount on the DPP agreement? ~$240?

Or are you getting a bill credit that makes it $9.99?

Ah, I understand the question now.

Not having paid for the phone yet, I do not know that answer.

It is an important detail, and I'll be inquiring.

As we all know, buying from best buy saves you $100. My question is, if I buy it on installment plans from best buy to save the $100, is that over the course of the 24 months? Or can I a month later pay off the phone at the $720 I bought it for?
In my experience, Best Buy charges $50-$75 more for phones than Verizin. I always price match if I purchase a phone at Best Buy.

    Actually ..

On Device Payment Plan: Best Buy is offering the phone for $34/month which comes out to $816. They've reduced the price to $29.34/month which is about $716. ...So $100-off.

Full retail, Best Buy is charging $840 if you skip DPP - same as Verizon.

But without any trade-in deals, Verizon sells the S8+ for $35/mo which comes out to $840.
Which is exactly why I'm saying the have reduced the price by more than $100. The Verizon model is 840 from them full price and everywhere else. By showing it as $34/month means they marked it down slighted and then marked it down more to get to 29.34. So my whole point was Best Buy is knocking the price down by more than $100 which is true.

I thought the same thing but didn't want to question it lol. Definitely the best deal around for the Verizon variant.
Yes exactly. I'm not going to ask anyone in Best Buy about it. But I just wanted to point out that they are knocking off more than $100 compared to their own full retail and the price sold everywhere else for the verizon model. This is a good thing and $716+ tax for a phone that retails for 840 on release day is a great deal. my post was merely pointing this out and if anyone else has noticed this.

Guys I posted this in another thread but since this is title Best Buy thought I'd solicit feedback here as well.

For the Best Buy preorder they are supposedly knocking off $100 on the price of the phone. Well the Verizon model retails for $840. Best Buy is offering it for $29.83 for 24 months. This comes out to 715.92. So they're actually knocking off ~$125. Is this right? Lol.
The Verizon model retails for $720. I preordered one from Samsung. Best Buy chose to increase the price.

Since this is the S8 Plus forum, the number is $840 - not $720...

No need to question it. Best Buy does it all the time.

Most "deals" are through device payment plans now a days. They have caught onto consumers getting extra $ and things off of phones and then leaving.. so they now say "$100-200 off!" but it is off via bill credits so you have to stay to get it all.

    Almeuit,
You are 100% correct with that. I have a paid off 7 edge and doing the trade in with verizon.
On another line I have a deal on the 7 plus for 20 a month. The bill credit me 16 every month.
I asked them If i can pay it off, and they told me it would be at the full amount of 36 per month on the months I had left. So if i choose to pay it off, I loose the 16 a month for the remaining months.

Who do you make the payments to verizon or best buy?

Verizon. Best Buy is allowed to setup payment plans on your Verizon account. Basically they're an Authorized 3rd party retailer for Verizon.

Looks like you can't unless you meet the below.

To participate, you need to have:

    1. Purchased and activated a Samsung Galaxy S7 or Samsung Galaxy S7 edge on a device payment agreement on or before 9/10/2016.
    2. Used the S7 or S7 edge with Verizon Wireless service for at least 30 days.
    3. Paid at least 50% of the device's retail price.
    4. Returned the eligible Samsung device in good working condition with no significant damage, as determined by Verizon Wireless, within 14 days after you upgrade
    5. Satisfied the Annual Upgrade Program terms and conditions

I am actually considering cancelling my pre-order (S8 +) with Verizon with the trade in of my galaxy s7 edge and doing it with Best Buy. I can get the $100 off and do the galaxy s7e turn in program $480. That should lower my monthly device payment from $15 a month to under $10
