Agreed. I think OP will be upgrading to the note in a couple months time haha more than 1 Note device has been purchased in the past which means he liked it enough to by again. Let's see what happens.

Personally for me, if I buy the Galaxy S8 I would most likely keep it for 3 years I think Samsung will stick with this design for next year's model, maybe just a couple tweaks.

I could probably keep the Pixel for 2 years, but I'll undoubtedly purchase both the Note 8 and the Pixel 2---and probably the new iPhone. It's a disorder that I've come to terms with.

I was toying with the idea of having an iPhone as a backup phone just so I could really get to know that system. However is saying that, I have always loved Android and they will be my priority phone

Yeah I personally can't have two phones because I know I will use one and the other will sit for long periods of time. I am fortunate enough that my gf has an iPhone and we have an iPad in the house so I get to see the iOS world some (and keep her stuff up to date software wise).

Not even going to pretend that I'll keep it no longer than when the Note 8 comes out. Then I'll be back on the one a year train. I wouldn't be upgrading now if the Note 7 didn't get recalled.
