Verizon S8 / S8+ Pre-Order Discussion

Ok. So, I'm pretty much all set up and running. I got my banking apps a going, Samsung Pay is working. I only have one question. For the Edge windows. I can set up five people in the People Edge. The problem is it seems to only pull from one account. I have three Gmail accounts and two Microsoft Accounts and it only gives me contacts from one of the Gmail accounts. I restarted my phone and it allowed me to pull from another Gmail account, but not from my Outlook or Work (Gmail) account. I can't figure out a way to change it. Anybody have any ideas?

Bixby vision's "shopping" feature removed, no device maintenance, no samsung cloud, no caller id, and that's just from what I've seen or read about so far. Who knows what else they did

How samsung allows this is beyond me

Can anyone give some tips/incite on dealing with a FedEx delivery?
Usually packages I get don't need a signature and are left in a locked bike/package room in my apartment. Has anyone gotten a successful delivery without a signature? Really don't want to wait another day.

I've tried to do the digital signature on their website but the option is greyed out and the provide delivery instructions doesn't give me any options that will work either.

Which phone did you order? I know some are on backorder right now. some people have their orders on hold because they don't have any in stock and don't know when they will be in. (i.e. s8+ in grey and black are back ordered until the 26th)

Speak to an order specialist. The customer service people couldn't give specifics and gave me incorrect information about my order

From my experience it is ups that will leave a package with a written note but not fedex. You need na adult to sign for package. I've also heard it varies, some drivers are more lenient. Good luck

I tried waiting for my delivery today before work it never came. So 10 min before I left I called Fed ex and asked them to leave it at the step and that I would presign for the release. Then I left a note on my door asking for my delivery to be left at the door. I signed with my name as last 4 of tracking info. Theg delivered the package about 2-3 hours later. I don't know if it was me calling, leaving the note or both. But I read a couple of posts ago someone did the same thing with the note on the door and that worked for them as well!

Leave a detailed not advising to leave.. put trackingnumber.. date.. signature on it...tape it to door with please read FedEx on it... works every time for me

I used their launcher for 24 hours. Switched back to Nova, get more space for apps. Just the difference in space taken by the 3 dots indicating which home screen you are on is very noticeable.

You can make the screen like 6x6 grid lol,
I always get rid of those dots, disable bixby and delete second homescreen

Today is the day for me, the phone has been sitting in the Fed ex box since Wednesday calling my name. You guys think it's hard waiting on Fed ex to get the phone to you, it's more painful having the phone on your table within reach but just can't get to it because of work. But I said as long as it's here by Friday I'm good, so I'm good, now only if I could waive magic wand and the new phone is set up.

Mind did that also then all of a sudden it was delivered. The rep from UPS told me if it gets to your local facility before 10AM, it will be out for delivery that day.

Well today's your Xmas my friend and yesterday was mine this phone is amazing and tbh setting it up is the fun part especially with how fast this thing is!! I played with mine for like 10 hrs straight yeaterday and it didn't skip a beat

S8+ Arrived last night. Having had mostly Sammy products (last device - S7 Edge), I am very impressed by the speed compared to my older phone - quite a difference - screen is amazing and I love the Arctic Silver with the really thin, clear sammy case. NIIIIICE!!!
