I use nova prime for minimalist setup. If I want some beautiful designed home screen though, I use buzz launcher. It has tons of user designed home screens setup you can apply to your home screen.

A big feature I recently discovered with Nova, after using it for about the last 3 years, is the backup/restore feature that let's you back up (and restore) your desktop layout and Nova setup. So your icons, icon pack, wallpaper, and other Nova settings (like gestures and folders) all can be restored almost perfectly if you need to do a factory reset or set up a new phone. This, combined with Samsung backup, made a factory reset on my S8 recently a much less painful experience than any previous reset or new phone setup.

The only thing the backup/restore doesn't do is totally replace your widgets. The empty widget box is still on the screen in the same size and location as before, but you basically need to remove it and re-add each widget. And of course you need to log back in to apps which require it (facebook, email, linkedin, etc.).

I'm getting older and tired of goofing around with my phones, so I have not changed much in my phone setup for the past 2-3 years, going back to my Nexus 6p and possibly whatever phone I had before that. Nova makes the transition to a new phone much easier, which is something I don't think most other launchers provide.

    Stock works fine for me.
How long have you been running stock? I've had the s8+ about 1.5 weeks now and stock is great IMO.

Using Nova, though I'm hoping Apex Launcher gets their act together with notifier because I prefer Apex over Nova. They just need to update notifier so that it has badge counts for apps like Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat, etc.. They have been updating the app but they haven't touched the notifier app. Still holding out.

Nova... easy to set it up so the home screens and gestures stay the same.

I've been a hard core Nova prime user since the HTC One S

I've tried it on my S8, but for some reason I'm loving the stock launcher... I've never liked a stock launcher before until now

If I could have Google now cards integrated by swiping right like in the Pixel launcher I'd stick with stock. I'm using a side loaded pixel launcher but really like the stock one this year.

I've never been able to get the little red message notification from Facebook to show up with Nova. But other than that I really like it.

You mean the little red badge that has the number of notifications? You can get that with Nova but you need to download Tesla Unread in addition. That app handles badges for app icons.

I don't mind the stock one. But I greatly prefer this one.

I use Samsung Themes more now as there are many beautiful themes available and they look great with excellent wallpapers and AODs. So, I am using Samsung Launcher for quite some time.

I'm currently using buzz launcher. I like the amount of customization you can create with it. Also I can choose beautiful user uploaded setup which comes handy for people like me who have zero artistic/design talent.

These are examples of downloaded setup.

Since I had to reset my phone to factory condition I'm trying to stick with TouchWiz. Right now I don't know how I feel about it. Ive gotten so used to how Nova works that using TouchWiz is foreign to me. I hope I can get used to it because I don't want to spend another two hours resetting up my phone under Nova. Lol

LOL... Did the same thing a few months ago when I factory reset. Actually turned out fine. Had gotten into a rut with Nova, so when I was forced to reconfigure it, I came up with a new setup that I liked even better.
