Two pics that demonstrate the very good quality of this camera in very low light conditions.
Both edited, the second very strongly, but this doesn't change my statement.

Hi! The Camera doesn't have a proper portrait mode like the iphone or the new note, but there is a software option called "selective focus" which allows to chose which subject you want to blur. You can see an example in my last comment (the pic with the yellow drink).
The result is decent in my opinion

Amazing result. But is it possible to do that lets say take a of picture of a girl and blurring the background? You know like outside. View attachment 269140

Like this?

No, Selective Focus is as close as you'll get with the s8 but it doesn't come close to using a dual camera phone. Lens Blur on the Pixel etc does a good job using only one lens but they just can't do a good as job as say the Note 8, iPhone's, Huawei and Honor phones, Nokia or One Plus 5. I'm sure I've missed a few more since more are being released all the time just now.

This picture was taken with my p9 lite crappy camera. Google camera is ported to other phones and it pretty easy to use it. Now if my p9 lite could take this good of a picture. I wonder what can be achieved with S8 + the google camera apk. Anyone using it? 21222807_10214506666925008_1663099091_o.jpg 21222811_10214506655324718_1656188681_o.jpg 21246007_10214506665844981_501379333_o.jpg

It depends where you live. You can only use the Google Camera app if you have the Snapdragon 835 version of the S8/S8 Plus which is North American only I believe? I couldn't get it to work because my s8 is the International version which has the Exynos chip inside instead.
