New S8+ Battery at 0% out of the box ?

Got in the new S8+ from Verizon and my battery was totally dead at 0% when I took it out of the box.

I've had a million new phones and never had one at 0% right out of the box.

It also seems to be charging pretty slow.

Anyone else have a dead battery right out of the box?

Well that is pretty bad mine was about fifty percent I think

Mine was at 38. Being at zero doesn't sound right. If it charges slow it could be a bad cell.

Mine was at around 35%

Mine was around 40 like almost all the phones I've gotten over the years.

God, I hate to have to exchange this phone. :-\ Seems to be charging OK but that 0% scares me.

This is actually not uncommon. I usually get 1 a day at NY store especially Iphones 7s. I wouldn't be concerned.

And so it begins. Some users reporting red tint. This isn't trolling, getting mine tomorow, hopefully no issues…

I received mine via FedEx about 11:25 eastern time and out the box the phone was at 49%. Been using the phone doing a full setup instead of restoring from backup. No red tint what very few are complaining about...

On a serious note, battery drain of sorts? What I noticed on a lot of posted pics of the S8(+) in places like Best Buy the phone was plugged in, but many devices where showing like 60% charge or less. This is interesting, surely plugged in would have been 100%?

Their definitely fine. Just keep an eye the first week. Worst case, do a WFG
