Galaxy S8 / S8 + Battery Life Thread

I figure we should start an official battery thread since we are seeing quite a few pop up.

Remember to post your stats below and advise if you have the S8 or S8 Plus .

This was my first full day with the S8 Plus on Verizon, and I want to say, I'm pretty impressed. I know I still have quite a ways to go, but this is my battery life so far. This is with AOD, FHD, around 30% brightness, sync on, with heavy video streaming and web browsing, and a few phone calls.

Those are some really good numbers! Do you see any noticeable differences between FHD and QHD? I just went with FHD for better battery life and also because it looks just fine to me.

QHD is definitely more sharper... regardless this phone has the best battery out of whatever is out there right now..

Oh yeah, I just toggled between the two, and QHD definitely makes everything appear crisper; a clear winner for me! That makes me like the phone even more! Not sure how much more battery this will use on mine, but based on what everyone has been posting here, I don't think it'll be that much of a difference.

I just got my s8+ in the morning and immediately charged it to 100%, 7.5 hours later and half of that time installing all my apps and setting everything from scratch, I'm at 50% with 4.25 of SoT. Pretty impressed so far with battery and the buttery smooth performance in general, that and this Orchid Grey being so gorgeous.

Basically everything on, AOD, Location History, QHD, only Uninstalled what is bloatware for me (not many BTW on t-mobile). I'm really wowed by Samsung right now.

Yes FHD looks "just fine" but QHD looks really awesome!

That's impressive...and with everything on? Man this made me do a double take on my S8.

With 8 hours of sot on qhd it's a no brainier. I don't really see needing much more than 8 hours sot.

I posted then earlier but these were from my first day using my S8+. Loving the battery life. Today is even better! Currently at 13 hours on battery, 4 hours 10 min screen on time and still at 50% battery!

Idk how Samsung did it but they did it good for sure. The 10nm 835 processor either is really good or they optimized it well.

Here's mine. From 9:00 am to 8:33 pm. Every setting is default, although I had wifi off & on intermittently while I was at work.

Battery has been great for me, glad to see some people saying it's still good on qhd, I'm about to make the switch. Had mine since wednesday, only charged it to 86% this morning at about 9:50am and after showing it off all day at work, and my normal usage (video and music streaming, tumblr and facebook browsing, texts) I'm still at 45%!!! (4hrs SoT)
