The screen on the S8+ doesn't seem to get as greasy and dirty as the S7 Edge...

Gorilla Glass 5. It's new but I'm not sure if the oleophobic coating is new.

Awesome. Sounds promising. I looked up 5, and all I can see is stuff about it being more durable. Since it is more durable, maybe the surface is somehow less susceptible to grease

I noticed this as well, but I can't tell if it is just bc it is new or bc it is better.

I also noticed my finger slides on the screen much easier than the S7 Edge, like a slippery feeling but I like it

I agree that my finger seems to slide easier. I also think I remember that it took awhile before the screen started getting gunky. I have no idea why, but it seemed to be a little more susceptible to gunk later in its life for some odd reason. So far so good for the 8.
